Hot-Dip Galvanized Single-Eye Pole Band with Connection Lug
The single-eye pole band is a formed steel pole-line fitting designed to provide a mechanical attachment point on a round utility pole. It consists of a curved half-band, two flat bolting ends and a welded central connection lug with one mounting hole.
The curved band follows the outside surface of a concrete, steel or wooden pole. When installed with a matching rear band and the specified bolts, nuts and washers, it forms a secure pole-clamping assembly. The central lug can be connected to a compatible U-clevis, shackle, cable-hardware fitting or project-specific bracket.

Product Structure
Curved Pole-Contact Band
The main band is formed to match the radius of the specified pole. Both ends are flattened and punched to receive the assembly bolts. The bending radius must match the actual pole diameter to distribute clamping pressure correctly.
Welded Connection Lug
A vertical steel lug is welded to the center of the curved band. The hole in the lug provides a connection point for a compatible clevis, shackle, bolt or cable-support component.
The lug thickness, hole diameter, projection length and weld size must be selected according to the intended load direction. The weld must be inspected for cracks, incomplete fusion and other visible defects.
Matching Rear Band
A complete pole-band assembly normally uses a second curved band on the opposite side of the pole. The rear component may be a plain two-hole half-band or another lugged band when two attachment positions are required.

The product must not automatically be described as an ADSS tension fitting, OPGW suspension fitting or guy attachment. It is a supporting pole-attachment component whose final function depends on the complete assembly.
Materials and Manufacturing
The band and connection lug are normally manufactured from carbon-steel plate. The production process generally includes material cutting, hole punching, band forming, lug positioning, welding, surface preparation and galvanizing.
The forming process must not produce cracks, sharp folds or excessive thinning in the curved section. The lug should be aligned with the designed load direction and welded according to the specified welding procedure.
Material grade, minimum thickness, weld size and mechanical properties must be stated on the approved product drawing when they are critical to the application.
Surface Treatment
Hot-Dip Galvanized Finish
Hot-dip galvanizing provides zinc protection for outdoor power-line and telecommunications environments. Coating requirements may be specified according to ISO 1461, GB/T 13912, ASTM A123/A123M or another customer-approved standard.
Zinc-Plated Finish
Zinc plating may be used for indoor, sheltered or light-duty applications when specified. It normally produces a smoother but thinner coating than batch hot-dip galvanizing.
The photographs appear to show a galvanized finish, but the exact coating process and zinc thickness cannot be confirmed visually. The purchase order must state the required surface treatment.
Installation Guidance
- Measure the pole diameter at the intended installation height.
- Select the lugged band and matching rear band with the correct radius.
- Confirm the required bolt diameter, bolt length and fastener grade.
- Position the lug in the load direction shown on the approved drawing.
- Place the matching band on the opposite side of the pole.
- Insert the bolts through the aligned end holes.
- Install the specified washers and nuts.
- Tighten both sides evenly to avoid tilting or uneven pole pressure.
- Connect the U-clevis, shackle or cable fitting to the central lug.
- Confirm that the connected hardware can move without interference.
- Inspect the weld, galvanized coating and fasteners after installation.
Installation warning: Excessive tightening can damage concrete, wood or composite poles. The tightening method must follow the approved pole and hardware design.
