Construction

The main body is formed from steel into a U-shaped connection structure. Each connection point is fitted with a removable steel bolt or pin. Depending on the approved design, the fasteners may use hex nuts, washers and cotter pins to prevent loosening during service.

The bolt diameter, clear opening, internal height and connection direction must match the tower attachment and the next fitting in the assembly. Components from different load classes must not be combined without an engineering compatibility check.

Hot-Dip Galvanized Finish

Hot-dip galvanizing provides a protective zinc coating for steel components exposed to rain, humidity and outdoor atmospheric conditions. The required coating thickness, zinc adhesion and surface quality should be specified in the purchase order or project specification.

The galvanized surface may show minor differences in color, brightness and texture resulting from the dipping, cooling and handling processes. These differences do not by themselves determine coating conformity.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does UB-10 mean?

UB identifies the fitting series. In commonly used product tables, UB-10 corresponds to a nominal failure-load class of 100 kN. The exact dimensions and performance must still be confirmed against the manufacturer’s approved drawing.

Is the UB-type clevis selected according to line voltage?

No. Line voltage alone is not sufficient. Selection is mainly based on mechanical load, bolt diameter, connection dimensions and compatibility with the complete hardware string.

Is this the same product as a U-type shackle?

No. The UB-type clevis has a formed plate body and two bolted connection positions. A conventional U-type shackle or U-shaped link has a different structure and should be listed separately.

Can it be used for lifting?
