35kV Three-Core Outdoor Heat Shrink Cable Termination Kit
The 35kV three-core outdoor heat shrink cable termination kit is designed for the outdoor termination of screened three-core polymeric-insulated medium-voltage power cables. It provides electrical stress control, phase insulation, environmental sealing and an extended surface creepage path at the cable termination point.
The kit is suitable for connecting three-core power cables to outdoor switchgear, transformers, cable termination structures and other medium-voltage electrical equipment. Each phase is protected by an anti-tracking heat shrink tube and multiple rain sheds, while the cable crutch area is sealed with an adhesive-coated breakout component.

Standards and Testing
For 26/35kV cable systems with a maximum system voltage above 36kV, IEC 60840 is the relevant IEC reference for cables and accessories. Compliance must only be stated when the supplied product is supported by the corresponding type-test report or project-approved documentation.
IEC 60502-4 applies to cable accessories only up to 18/30(36)kV and should not automatically be claimed for a 26/35kV termination kit.
Ordering Information
Please confirm the cable datasheet or provide the cable model, rated voltage, conductor size, insulation diameter, screen construction and armour type before ordering. Terminal lugs, earthing components and installation accessories can be configured according to the approved cable and equipment drawings.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this termination suitable for 26/35kV XLPE cable?
It can be configured for screened 26/35kV three-core XLPE power cable. Final compatibility depends on the cable insulation diameter, screen design, armour construction and conductor size.
Can the kit be selected only by conductor cross-section?
No. Conductor cross-section is a preliminary reference. The diameter over insulation and the complete cable construction must also be checked before confirming the kit.
Are cable lugs included?
Terminal lugs are normally selected separately because copper and aluminium conductors require different lug materials and equipment interfaces. Please confirm the required lug type when requesting a quotation.
Why are rain sheds used on the outdoor termination?
The rain sheds increase the surface creepage path and support outdoor insulation performance under rain, dust and other environmental exposure.
Can the kit be supplied for armoured cable?
Yes, but the armour type and earthing arrangement must be confirmed so that the appropriate sealing and grounding components can be supplied.
